Authorised Person

TES 2000 are currently looking for an Authorised Person (AP) for our Electrifications Department across the Anglian region which will include working weekends, bank holidays and evenings.

The AP will undertake switching, testing and earthing of the Overhead Line Equipment on Network Rail Infrastructure, working within all relevant Railway Group Standards and Network Rail Company Standards and in compliance with Generic Method Statement CR/GMS/001.

You will be instrumental in ensuring the continued safety of all TES 2000 staff and subsequent contracted staff.

 AP will: 

• Be experienced within the rail industry with in-depth knowledge of Network Rail rules and regulations
• Possess (or be able to undertake) the following competencies; PTS, DCCR, First aid for electrical accidents and electrical burns, AP OLE/AC-1, AP OLE/AT-1, COSS OLP/CRP LLT, OLEC 1 
• Demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Be able to achieve results by efficient time management, problem solving skills, risk management and attention to detail.
• Hold a full UK driving license. 

The APs' typical day will include: 

• Attending site meetings with the Nominated Person
• Working under the direction of the Nominated Person and the Electrical Control Room
• Testing and applying/removing local earths from the Overhead Line
• Undertaking switching duties on the overhead line
• Organising staff members under their control
• Carrying out Bonding and Inspections
• Participating in staff briefings as required
• Ensuring that the correct PPE is worn, and competencies carried at all times when on duty
• Working within compliance relevant to all safety rules and regulations
